DAY 1 : CASABLANCA – RABAT -  CHEFCHAOUEN

We at Morocco Salah Travels organise adventure tours departing from Casablanca towards Merzouga desert. This is just suggested itinearary which can be modified depends on your travel plans. Our Casablanca to desert and Marrakech trip starts from your local hotel. After breakfast, our Private and individual Tour in Morocco starts with transfer to Rabat  - capital of Morocco, founded in 10th century by the Phoenicians, later by Romans. We get the opportunity to visit ruins that they left behind – Chellah Necropolis. Our visit of Rabat will include Hassan Tower, an unfinished minaret of the great Hassan Mosque constructed by the Almohad Yacoub El Mansour. Next to the tower we visit the resting place – Mausoleum Mohammed V and Hassan II. Visit of Rabat would not be complete without walk in the Kasbah of the Ouidais, fortress that was once a city itself and later lair of pirates. Then direct transfer to Chefchaouen. Overnight in riad/hotel.

DAY 2: CHEFCHAOUEN TO FEZ

Situated high in the Rif Mountains, this charming city was founded in 1471,initially built as a small fortress to ward off the Portuguese invaders who were intent on dominating northern Morocco.in 1920,the Spanish armies seized Chefchaouen and held it until 1956 when Morocco finally gained independence. The influence of the times gone by is still reflected in chefchaouen. The architecture today,for instance,is a heady mix of Moorish design flavored with the more ornate Spanish influence. Legend has is that Chefchaouen derived its name from the surrounding Rif range that resembles two chaouen or goat’s horns Transfer from Chefchaouen to Ouazane and Fez,overnight in local riad. DAY 3: FEZ MEDINA GUIDED EXCURSION

Today, we will visit the spiritual and cultural Capital of Morocco. We start exploring ancient Fez medina, then Royal Palace, and then we drive through the Mellah, the old Jewish quarter, Bab Boujloud. We will also visit labyrinthine Fez El-Bali, Morocco’s largest medina, then the 17th-century Medersas , the Karaouine University. The old Medina is classified as a UNESCO heritage world site. The night be will in a riad in the medina.

DAY 4: FEZ TO MIDDLE ATLAS MOUNTAINS AND MERZOUGA

Today, we drive towards Ifrane. We visit the attractive city in the Middle Atlas region. It’s called as the Switzerland of Morocco. Then we pass the cedar forests near AZROU where we will stop to see the monkeys. We continue our travel to Midelt, then we pass Ziz valley and we stop in Erfoud famous for its fossils products. The private tour continues to RISSANI where we may visit local souk. Then we reach MERZOUGA. The night will be in a local desert hotel.

DAY 5: MERZOUGA DESERT 4X4 EXCURSION

We will begin the day to visit khamliya village where we will attend a concert of Gnawa music played by a group of original black Berbers and sub-Saharan Sudan Guenien.We will continue our tour through the dunes of Erg Chebbi visiting nomad’s tents where we will take tea with them hospitality. We will visit the fossil quarries and the authentic market town of RISSANI. In the afternoon we will take the camels to spend the night in private camp in the middle of the dunes.

DAY 6: MERZOUGA - TODRA Valley - DADES GORGES

Today we will wake up before dawn to experience the magic of a desert sunrise over the Merzouga Dunes. Early morning sightseeing in Rissani. On arrival in Tinghir, visit the Todra gorges, Morocco’s “Grand Canyon,” with spectacular pink walls. On the way to Ouarzazate, pass through the rose-growing town of Kelaat M’Gouna and then Boumalne, which overlooks the Dades Valley (“The Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs”). Evening arrival at your hotel in Dades with dinner.

DAY 7: DADES - OUARZAZATE – AIT BENHADDOU - MARRAKECH

We start the morning by viewing amazingly dramatic Dades Gorge with high cliffs of limestone and weirdly shapped erosions. Then we set into the road of Thousand Kasbah passing Rose Valley (beautiful in April to May) and Skoura Oasis reaching the city of Ouarzazate. Not far from Ouarzazate we stop to visit the oldest and finest example of fortified city – Ait Ben haddou. After our visit we continue across the High Atlas Mountains over dramatic drive offering splendid views to Marrakech.

DAY 8: MARRAKECH GUIDED TOUR IN CITY

After breakfast, our 10 days Imperial cities tour from Casablanca continues and you will have a guided tour of Marrakech. You will discover the Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs, and many other hidden treasures. After lunch, you will continue with the tour on to the magnificent Koutoubia Mosque and the famous Jamaa el-Fna square, one of the center attractions of Marrakech . Coming alive at night with the local storytellers, entertainers, and mouth-watering barbeque pits, the square is well worth a visit. The tour will conclude with an exploration of the souk , accommodation in a hotel.

DAY 9: MARRAKECH DAY TRIP to ESSAOUIRA

After breakfast, we depart to Essaouira. The main entrance to this splendid city’s harbor was built in 1184 and called the Porte de la Marine and it is truly an architectural marvel. Sit back, relax and let the beauty of the sandy bay that sweeps to the south of this enchanting town and the wooded hills which dominate the eastern skyline captivate you. Return to Marrakech for night in your Hotel .

DAY 10: END OF TOUR
